Dr Taryn Hutt

Taryn graduated from Massey University in 2011 and has been working and living in Auckland as a companion animal veterinarian ever since. She has always had a huge interest in Avian and exotic animal medicine and surgery, so joining the team in December 2020 was a dream come true. While she loves avian and exotic animal medicine, she still enjoys some feline and canine medicine, particularly dentistry and soft tissue surgery.

Nothing beats a good kitty snuggle. In her free time Taryn enjoys rescuing baby birds, breeding show budgies, and doing arts and crafts. She has a large animal family comprising of Juno the dog, Max the cat, Bennee the sparrow, Pete the pigeon, an aviary of show budgies, 2 rescued turtles and some rescued pigeons and doves.
